MongoDB 3.4 on XFS for superior performance

MongoDB is a versatile, open-source database program that operates across various platforms. It falls under the category of NoSQL databases and utilizes JSON-like documents with predefined structures. The term “Mongo” signifies its ability to handle enormous volumes of data.

In this installation, we’ve prioritized security by implementing PASSWORD Protection, making it resistant to hacking attempts. Typically, MongoDB doesn’t require a password by default, but we’ve taken the precaution of setting up security for you.

This server is particularly well-suited for research, web-based applications, and developers seeking a user-friendly server management experience. We’ve meticulously configured this instance in alignment with MongoDB’s best practices. It utilizes the WiredTiger storage system on a XFS volume, ensuring features like document-level concurrency, checkpointing, and compression.
