RedHat Enterprise Linux 7

Derived from the official RHEL 8.7 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), this image includes a minimal package installation setup and essential AWS components for seamless integration with AWS infrastructure. These components comprise the AWS CLI, Elastic Network Adapter, and NVMe drivers. Moreover, it incorporates a Red Hat Update Infrastructure, eliminating the need for a RedHat subscription and the associated high costs of internet data traffic for package installation and updates.

Notable features of this product include key-based authentication using the ‘ec2-user’ username, the utilization of cloud-init, SELinux activation, the deactivation of root login for enhanced security, and an automatic resizing mechanism for the root disk based on the instance’s volume configuration.”
