Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform

Create an AWS Account:
Begin by signing up for an AWS (Amazon Web Services) account if you don’t already have one. You can do this by visiting the AWS website at https://aws.amazon.com/.

Launch an EC2 Instance:

Log in to your AWS Console.
Navigate to the EC2 Dashboard.
Click the “Launch Instance” button to initiate the creation of a new EC2 instance.
Choose the appropriate Amazon Machine Image (AMI). Red Hat offers official images in the AWS Marketplace, typically based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Select the instance type that suits your requirements.
Configure instance details like VPC, subnet, and security groups.
Specify storage and add tags as necessary.
Set up security group rules to permit access to the required ports for JBoss EAP (e.g., 8080 for HTTP, 9990 for management).
Review your selections and launch the instance.
Connect to the EC2 Instance:

Once the EC2 instance is running, establish an SSH connection to it.
Download and Install Red Hat JBoss EAP:

On your EC2 instance, obtain the Red Hat JBoss EAP installation files from either the Red Hat Customer Portal or the MidVision bundle.
Install JBoss EAP:

Follow the installation instructions provided by Red Hat or the specific guidance from MidVision to install JBoss EAP on your EC2 instance.
Licensing:

If you have acquired a license for JBoss EAP, adhere to the licensing guidelines set forth by Red Hat. Typically, you’ll be required to input the license key during the installation or configuration process.
Configuration and Application Deployment:

Tailor the configuration of JBoss EAP to your application’s requirements.
Deploy your applications within the JBoss EAP environment as needed.
Testing and Maintenance:

Perform thorough testing of your applications to ensure they function as intended.
Routinely carry out maintenance tasks and apply updates to maintain the security and performance of your JBoss EAP environment.
