Included in this offering is Postfix, an open-source mail transfer agent (MTA) known for routing and delivering electronic mail. Serving as an SMTP server, Postfix adds an initial layer of protection against spam bots and malware, effectively replacing traditional sendmail usage. In the context of public cloud environments, there is often a need for an MTA to facilitate applications in sending emails via the corporate email infrastructure, a task for which a Postfix server can be configured. This AMI is equipped with the latest stable version of the Postfix Mail Server, installed on the target operating system with the most recent patches applied.
Kurian also offers a variety of software applications, including widely used tools such as WordPress, Jenkins, various databases, the LAMP stack, Ansible, DevOps utilities, and monitoring applications. These tools find extensive use among system administrators and DevOps engineers. Additionally, Kurian provides CIS benchmark-based hardened images for selected Linux distributions.
