Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) Server for Rocky Linux 8

Jenkins primarily serves as the cornerstone for automating software builds and creating CI/CD pipelines within a software development organization. Yet, it also boasts the versatility to function as a comprehensive DevOps automation platform, capable of hosting and orchestrating a diverse array of automation, provisioning, and system maintenance tasks.

Upon launching an AWS EC2 node from Kurian’s Jenkins Server AMI, the Jenkins Automation Server is swiftly up and running, fully operational. In addition, it includes a suite of supplementary tools commonly featured in a DevOps toolchain, essential for executing a wide range of automation projects. These tools encompass:

Docker
OpenJDK 11 and C/C++ compilers
Python 2.7 and 3.x
Ansible
Node.js
AWS CLI
kubectl
Maven
Gradle
Git Client
Crucially, it’s worth noting that the Jenkins setup adheres faithfully to the official installation guidelines. Consequently, there’s no need to grapple with a customized Jenkins configuration when building atop the foundational platform offered by this AMI.

Kurian has also released software applications, including but not limited to WordPress, databases, the LAMP stack, Ansible, DevOps tools, and monitoring applications. These are widely adopted by system administrators and DevOps engineers. Moreover, selected Linux distributions feature hardened images following the CIS benchmark, further simplifying deployment. The Kurian AMIs are meticulously crafted in accordance with official installation procedures, eliminating the necessity to master any bespoke configurations should additional adjustments be required.
