HPC Pack enables the creation and management of HPC clusters, including Windows or Linux compute nodes, part-time servers, workstations, and compute resources that can be deployed on-demand or dedicated in AWS.
This package includes the Windows Server 2016 Datacenter operating system with the HPC Pack 2019 setup, allowing you to establish the head node for an HPC Pack 2019 cluster or add compute nodes to an existing cluster within AWS. You have the option to install Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express locally or utilize an existing SQL DB. For optimal performance, we recommend using a VM size with a minimum of 8 vCPUs. When adding cluster compute nodes to the head node, ensure the VM is created within an AWS virtual network (VPC) and configure the network before VM creation.”
